From Inspiration to Innovation π
MY ENTREPRENEUR STORY
Hi π
My name is Filip and this is my story...
I am a serial entrepreneur and a software engineer with over 10 years of experience building web and mobile apps... That's usually what I do for companies, however, my dream always was to build something useful to people, to turn ideas into reality. β¨
I was born in Romania but I grew up my whole life in Spain. Also, I lived for a while in Wisconsin, USA. My passion for technology started when I was 12 years old. Back then I remember reading the first book about Javascript during playtime in School. Of course, I didn't understand anything back then, but at least it helped me to have some ideas about programming.
In 2014 I graduated in Computer Science in Spain and started working for several startups... However, even if I work for tech companies building or extending features, every 2 or 3 years I step back for a while and start a business. Working for companies is great but not fulfilling, at least not for me. I don't have the freedom to create, to innovate, or to invest in something I believe is worth...
I always dreamed of having a business. As a child, I remember writing Microsoft all over the place using stickers. I believe that businesses can improve people's lives in many ways. And definitely, that's my purpose in life. π΄πΌββοΈ
During the journey as you can see (look below timeline) I founded several startups. Most of them were failures and some went pretty well.
During that time: π‘
- I learned that not only good ideas are necessary but also great execution.
- I learned that not everybody is committed to delivering what they promise.
- I learned that building a business is not for everyone. You have to have that "virus", otherwise on the first complication, most people will give up, pretty easily.
Even if 10 businesses fails but one succeeds, you will have the best time in your life. It's something that definitely worth fighting for it. π
Let's join our knowledge, passion, and experience to build great products.
𧳠The technical side:
- I love Javascript and Typescript. But I am not closed to it. The right tech for the right project I believe.
- Most of the products I build are based on JS, TS, NodeJs, React, React Native, NextJs, Angular, Ionic, MySQL and AWS as cloud architecture.
- I also did integrations with Pipedrive, Stripe payments, MongoDB, and other dependencies we had as a startup...
- But for a better overview, just look at my previous startups. You will see all used technology.
𧳠What I am looking for:
- I am searching for a co-founder who has a better background than me on the marketing and sales side as my profile is more technical.
- I am looking for a startup who is willing to accept a new co-founder. Let me see if I am get in love with your product or idea. π
- Or just a startup who wants my advices or technical support.
Feel free to contact me or to see the video-presentation.

STARTUPS I FOUNDED
DAPPR (2023 - 2024)
This time I joined a startup in their early stages when they were searching for a CTO. It was a business focused on men's fashion and specifically to help influencers build their product marketplace and inventory management outside of Instagram or YouTube. We tried to bring together, influencers, brands who wanted to expand their influence and men searching for fashion inspiration. It was a 3 side-marketplace and required perfect coordination between all sides. I was in charge of reviewing business requirements and implementing the following apps: βοΈ Built a landing page for the startup to engage first users. βοΈ Develop a Chrome extension to help users and influencers to capture their products from Instagram and link them with our marketplace. βοΈ Build the marketplace(front and backend side) used by the customers and influencers to capture or build their products portfolio. βοΈ Build an admin application to manage our registered users, app statistics, products inventory and mainly to help our team to populate the marketplace with first data. βοΈ π Sadly, a few weeks before starting yCombinator program (by then I had finished all apps, ready for the launching event), one of our main co-founders left the startup for a better offer. He was the main promotor of the idea and the sales/connections man.
JOBLink (2020 - 2021)
Co-Founder, Product Owner and fullstack developer working to build the first freelance-recruiting platform for Recruiters and candidates. Again this time I built the startup with other work colleagues. We were around 7 people. Here are some of my tasks and responsabilities. βοΈ Design MVP requirements based on customers feedback. βοΈ Design the architecture of frontend (Angular) and backend (NodeJS). βοΈ Search payments providers and make the integration with it (Stripe). βοΈ Build the messaging part of the application using web sockets and MongoDB. βοΈ Talk with customers to interate and improve our product (weekly). βοΈ Develop chrome extension to help Recruitrers capture candidates profiles. βοΈ Built a public website for the startup to engage first users. βοΈ Built the admin side app to manage accounts and to analize the usage of the application (analitics). βοΈ Built a small version of our platform to run natively on desktop using Angular & ElectronJS. βοΈ Setup, deploy and maintain our servers, SPA applications and other services on AWS. βοΈ β¦and of course helping my team as as developer where needed backend or frontend.
VIDAPY S.L (2012 - 2014)
This was the second startup that I founded with several work colleagues. It was a professional network using video-curriculums instead of paper cvs. We had a great acceptance in colleges mostly, however, the technology and the culture weren't ready for this kind of interactivity and content. βοΈ I was one of the founders and also the main developer of the website. βοΈ Help my team implementing the features we needed using PHP and Angular. βοΈ Design MVP requirements based on students feedback. βοΈ Made an integration with Stripe so recruiters could pay for our services. βοΈ Made an integration with an external video platform (to store videos)).
Segundaventa S.L (2010 - 2011)
This was my first attempt to found a startup. During 2010 in Spain we had just one major player on the classified advertisements with almost 100% of the market share. So I paid a developer to build a similar website but with lower fees for advertising and other useful features. When the development was done other 10 copies were launched at the same time by competitors. I learned the basics of businesses. Also I learned that most of the money will go for development phase, at least at the beginning. So I started a Computer Science degree out of this experience...
